2024 Wrap-Up: What's New at BoxHero?
As 2024 winds down, we’re reflecting on a year filled with growth, innovation, and meaningful improvements that have shaped BoxHero. 😊 While inventory management is the heart of what we do, our goal has always been to make your day-to-day simpler, more efficient, and stress-free.
To close out the year, we’re excited to share the latest updates we’ve rolled out. 🎉From new features to subtle tweaks, these changes are designed to help you work smarter and get the most out of BoxHero.

🪄 Update Highlights
PC / Web:
- Order Numbers are now included in the exported Excel files from your
Transactionshistory. - A Barcode Image Column has been added to invoices generated from
Stock Outtransactions. - You can now batch process multiple items in saved drafts for
Stock In/Outtransactions.
Mobile App:
- Each user can choose (and set) their preferred
Scan Method. - You can now view barcode images in the
Item Details. - A new Sort button has been added to help you organize items after grouping them in
Items.
🔎 How to Use BoxHero's New Features
Check Order Numbers in Excel Downloads
You can view order numbers (and return numbers) along with other details when exporting your Transactions history to Excel. This feature is available when you use the Purchase & Sales function.
View Barcode Image in Invoices
For Stock Out transactions, you can include barcode images in your invoices so it's easier to track and manage your items.
Batch Processing for Saved Drafts
If you have multiple saved drafts, you can process several items at once for both Stock In and Stock Out transactions.
Setting a Default Barcode Scan Method
Before the update, it may have been inconvenient to choose your barcode scan method every time you tried to scan an item. Now, you can set a default scan method in your user settings.
Go to: Settings > Gear Icon in the top-right corner > Scan Method
View Barcode Image in Item Details
After selecting an item, you can click the barcode icon on the top right to view the item's barcode image.
Sort Items After Grouping
Once you've grouped items by attributes like type or brand, you can use the sort feature to organize them even further.
